Mother's Day 2014

A day before Mother's day, Sergey told me that he doesn't want to see me in the kitchen on Mother's Day! I argued just a little :)
Here is our day in pictures:

I woke up to this sign in our living room :)  and two kids with tears , not happy that Mama is off today :)

Got some beautiful flowers!

DA and SN were in the kitchen, it was their day to help.

Sergey were working on breakfast, and let me tell you, it was so yummy!

 Making special omelets for us.

Kids are happy with their breakfast
 My breakfast :)
Also I had dessert for breakfast. Sergey made it all by himself, Panna Cotta.
After breakfast I read all the cards from kids. It was fun, and I enjoy them a lot!

I got some coupons for free hugs, kisses, and etc. :)

From EE, I really liked the fact that he took his time to do it. He spelled almost everything correctly, and got all the name correct on his card.

This one DJ made it, and asked all the kids to sign it. It will rotate, sorry about that.

I have few more cards from kids, but didn't' take pictures yet, have no idea where they go.

Later we played, talked, laughed, I took a shower, and we all got ready to have lunch. I did help with lunch preparations, but Sergey did all the grilling. We had few more meals, but it didn't' make it to the pictures, we had grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes

My dad is a truck driver, and my mom was alone, so she joyed us for lunch.
Sergey made a Mother's Day slide show, and we all enjoyed it. When Sergey will get it in correct format, I will post it here.

Can you see me, I am opening my present :)

We drove to Sergey's mom to say Happy Mother's Day.
And then went to part, to spend some time there.
 Me and my beautiful mom!
 My little bunch :)

We decided to take pictures before we let kids go and play, just to be on the safe side :) I mean have a clean kids for pictures :)

And this our family on Mother's Day!

I am blessed to be a mom! Happy Mother's Day 2014

Orphan Hosting | Other - YouCaring.com

Summer Hosting

We are scared, excited and but also feel so blessed! We believe we can make a difference in one more child's life! Anybody can make differences, by praying, sharing, donating and just supporting emotionally! We cannot afford adoption now, and also our current housing situation will not let us adopt another child. Hosting it's another option to help orphan! Our kids are super excited to help and bring another child into our family! I get questions everyday, when will she come!

We never though that we would host, it was something that we never fully understood. But God was doing His job in our hearts and home.

If you remember, about 2 year ago we did respite care for V., Ukrainian orphan who came here on hosting program, but things didn't go the way they should in his first family, and he spend 3 weeks in our home. It was a blessing! We got a chance to bless him, pray over him, cloth him, and just spend really good family time together.  It was new experience! His family found him, and now he is with his new family!
Also about 1 year ago we did respite care for another little boy Kolya. I didn't write much about him, because he spend only about 1 weeks with us. This experience was not so good , but we are happy we were there to help him.

I was their mom, I was a person who took care of them! God gave me a privilege of being their mom, maybe for short period of time, but these who children called me MOM! I feel blessed!

Hosting changed our hearts, and our view on hosting. Seriously, we thought, why host? Why give hopes to a child, if you know you will have to send back to the orphanage? It was us, it was our understanding of whole hosting thing!
But God showed us different side of it! God was moving our hearts, and the way we were looking at hosting. And I asked myself these questions and  I can ask same questions many people. Why are you going to Hawaii,  Mexico, Caribbean Cruises, and any vacation? Why? You probably would love to live in Hawaii or any exotic place? And you should stay in your home, your everyday life because if you go and see Hawaiian life, you will probably want to stay there forever, but you know you cannot, so why even bother and go to vacation?
We want to bring a 14 year old girl to America, and give her summer vacation she never had.  This little girl recently lost her mom. We don't know much about her, but know that she is in the orphanage, with out family. If she will have a chance to come to America for vacation the experience itself will be more than she has ever had, and something that will likely change her life forever. This is her chance to see what "normal" is and to spend few weeks in a family.
We heard this not too long ago, and trying to live by this powerful words "God doesn't want us to be comfortable... He wants us to trust Him by doing something life changing" and   ''Our unusual response brings unusual blessings'' by Troy Marshall.
We have a donation button on our blog. Unfortunately costs of helping orphans, saving lives is high! But for God nothing is impossible!
God's calling is clear:
James 1:27- "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
Psalm 68:5 - "A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling."
Matthew 18:5 - "And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me."

Another day

Today is a great day, God made this day!
We need some prayers and know that God will help.

Only 3 children went to school today, instead of 6.
I have 1 child with high, very high fever, and medicine seems like doesn't' help much.
And I have 2 children who had to stay home because their class has a field trip today, and these two didn't make good choices to go with a class. These two children staying home because of their poor choices lately, and not many people willing to deal with their behavior.
Please pray for our whole family, so we stay safe and nobody else get sick.

Also I need some wisdom, patience to help our children make better choices.

I'm Adopted

Lately all my boys have issues at school with other kids. Many kids have no problem making fun of our boys, and tell them that being adopted it means that they been pick up and found in the garbage. :(
Its hard to comprehend that other human can say things like "this mom doesn't love you too, and she eventually will give you away" ''you are ugly'', ''you are homeless'' and many more negative things that I don't' even want to write on here :( I know this is kids saying all these things, but kids are sponges, and most of the things they say, they heard from adults.
Its so sad to hear, it breaks my heart and there is not much I can do to help my boys when they are in school, because I am not there to protect them.
To help my boys, and give them more confident, we as a family talk more about adoption. We always did talk about adoption in positive way, and a lot, but now we concentrate more how blessed we all are to be adopted. God adopted us all, we been chosen! How special they are in our eyes! How much God loves them!

Not so long ago I found this video, and we all really like to watch this video! Boys going around, and singing all day long!
