TriMet , MAX service is really popular In Portland Oregon and runs through all city, and two nearby cities. We got our all day/all zones tickets, and went all the way through downtown, and whole town to the zoo. All kids were so excited to ride on "train". It was neat experience for everyone. Boys all did really great with following directions and holding hands. I think I can do more outings with kids if they will behave the same :) Because we got MAX tickets we did get discount at the zoo, and also didn't' have to pay for parking.We got to ride on the MAX, see beautiful city, and pay the same as we would drive our car to the zoo.
