Merry Christmas!

I just want to say Merry Christmas,my post is really late, we just been really busy, and I am out of energy :)

We had a nice and peaceful Christmas,we  talked about little Jesus, celebration, and just enjoyed our days together. Sergey was off for 4 days, and we had awesome family time. Usually Christmas Eve we do open one present (pajamas), but this year we decided to  do something different, and we went to church, Monday evening was service for kids. A reason why we did that, it's because out two little ones had a little poem to say, and were opening up church service by performing on the stage with the youngest group of our church.

I am so proud of them, DD-Denny was very scared to do it, and ElliAna is the youngest (2 year old)  from the whole group (she talks better than DD) They did great :)

Christmas Day we watched movies, opened presents, and had a great time. A lot of food, cookies, hot chocolate, candies and popcorn.

 Sergey's mom came and did spent some time with us. It was first Christmas with a family for DA-Danik and SN-Stasik, they were so cute, and enjoyed every moment of it. I loved to watch their excitement of everything, and all little things. For last 4 weeks I had only one question from one little happy boy"how many days till we will open all the presents?" By the time we were ready to open presents SN's presents were all wrinkled, with little holes from his little hands. He touched, checked, felt his presents many times a day:) I was just repeating , "SN don't  worry it will not go anywhere, it's for you, it will be here when we will be ready to open":))

It was magical Christmas, it was full of joy!

3 YEARS HOME

 Yesterday was exactly 3 years as I landed with our oldest son DJ-Danilka in US. We are blessed to be his parents! He is awesome son, big brother and just happy child.

 Last 3 years were busy raising him, teaching him and just being his parents. It was not easy most of the time, but with love and God we are here, where we are today.Today, I can honestly say that  Most of the time we have joyful, happy child, and we are so proud of DJ. He is sweet, loving, very caring boy. He is moma's boy :) He is my helper, and always trying to please me. I love him to pieces! We always will love him, we always be his parents, and always be there for him. He knows this, and trying hard to change and obey all the rules.


***I was taking some time off from blogging, with holidays and just life itself is very busy around here. Planning to start blogging again. :)

Our kids and their past

We were blessed to meet  our newly adopted sons grandpa , and few other relatives. We do know a lot of details about our boys, Danik and Stasik. We do talk/Skype with their grandpa few times a month, and boys enjoying  a lot. Every detail we know, and found out about our boys helping us. I think knowing more about their past helped us a lot to get to know our boys better, and parent them better.

We always wanted to find out more about Danilka and his past. We never had that opportunity. Finally, when we were about to leave Ukraine with our boys(2nd adoption), we asked our facilitator to help us find anything about Danilka. We were blessed, and our facilitator knew a person who could help(no extra charge).

Two days ago we finally got a phone # to Danilka's grandma, and yesterday we talked to her. We didn't' have much prepaid minutes left on our phone, but Sergey, I and Danilka, each got to talk for a few minutes. She is really nice lady, and I will be calling her again to talk about Danilka and his past.

I still dont' have any baby pictures of my boys, and looks like relatives has none too :( But I am happy that at least we know many details about our boys past, and boys can talk to their relatives!



***It was a good week, everyone is happy! Kids are in bed and I am enjoying my tea :)

Happy Birthday Danik!

It was nice 4 day weekend, and we all enjoyed it a lot. Friday was Daniks Birthday, and it was his first birthday in America with us. We still taking really slow on going out, inviting people over, and doing things outside our home, to avoid triggers and not overstimulate kids. We had only our family, but it was nice and almost drama free weekend :)


Now we have 2 10year olds in the house :)

 This boy wanted a guitar, and was very happy to get one for his birthday :)

Happy Birthday Danik! We love you soo soo much, and very happy to be your parents.

Unfocused child

Lately I notice that Danilka  is more than usually-easily distracted and very unfocused. No self motivation, and not putting much effort in whatever he is doing. I started to worry, and tried to look at our life from a side, trying to figure out if there is anything stressful, or unusual is going on in our family, that could affect Danilka. Usually he does give up easily on things(we are working on it) , and if he is bored he has will not try hard enough, but what is going on now it's not the same thing, not my Danilka.

I was so worried that I did wrote an e-mail to Danilka's teacher, just asking how is he doing at school( didn't ask her specifically  , behavior and school work? Her email got me into even more thinking, and trying to figure out what is going on with our son. She said that Danilka is a good boy, and usually tries to do well, and work hard, but lately she just noticed that he is unfocused, and not paying attention at class. He started to score poorly.


I feel bad, I have no idea what is going on, and I really want to help our son. Maybe it's a stage, maybe he is going through some kind of emotional change? Is it temporary? Is his personality changing, will it go away ? :)  Maybe anyone has and idea, or experienced something like this with your kids.  Any suggestions?

Last weekend, photos

Sunday Sergey took to a park, and I stayed home (preparing lunch).

 This skateboard we had for 2 years , Danilka got for his b-day and never learned how to ride on it. It took Danik 20-23 minutes to learn how to ride on it, and he is getting better and better every time he use it.

 When they came home, Sergey did steak outside! Stasik is the main helper, "if there is meat, Stasik is also there" :)))

 Last Saturday we finally found and were able  to picked up free basketball hoop. Our boys were so excited! Also they all love  time when someone(adult), can go in front yard, and watch them while kids ride and play with their "toys". It was good Saturday :)

Haircuts

Wednesday kids were home, there was no school. I decided to give all our boys a haircuts. It was a lot of hair! It was my first time cutting Danik and Stasik's hair, and we all did great :) I still need more practice, but with 4 boys in the house, soon I will be  professional in cutting boys hair  :)

 In the evening kids were just playing in the living room.

Love my kids! Thankful for every second in our life!
