Visitor

Friday we had a visitor, Vice Consul  from Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco. It was unexpected, and he spend total of 20-30 minutes in our house. Consul does pick about 10 families a month, and try to visit/find out more about them and their adopted children. Friday he was in Sacramento visiting families. He came with one lady, and both of them were in awe about our family, and with all the progress our kids made.

First we were not very comfortable, but once we start talking we had great time together. We had a  nice talk, consul shook our hands, and said thank you for adopting Ukrainian children :) Consul was very polite and very nice person.

Thankful to God for this very interesting visit, and nice people we had a chance to meet.

  2. This is the first I have heard of this as well. Do they just show up unannounced?

  3. Christie and Tina, we never heard of anything like this ether. Yes, they did showed up unannounced. They came in the morning and we were not home, when we got home we found a business card at our door, with "call me as soon as possible". We did call and 1 hour later they were in our house. Now I am really thinking if it's true about checking every month on families. Also consul gave us his personal cellphone # , which makes things even more interesting.
